Community Church Redesign Project

Project Overview: The redesign of McKee Road Baptist Churches' interior focused on flipping the sanctuary, creating a welcoming lobby space for congregation fellowship, and connecting the sanctuary building with the adjacent administrative and children's ministries buildings. A key feature of the redesign is the creation of a secluded courtyard, providing additional space for fellowship and community engagement.
Design Features:
Flipped Sanctuary:
The sanctuary has been flipped to optimize space and improve sightlines for worship services.
Enhanced acoustics and state-of-the-art audiovisual capabilities have been integrated.
Welcoming Lobby:
A spacious lobby area welcomes congregation members before and after services.
Comfortable seating areas, a welcome desk, and space for information boards facilitate community engagement.
Connection with Adjacent Buildings:
A covered walkway seamlessly connects the sanctuary, administrative building, and children's ministries building.
The flow between buildings encourages congregation interaction and engagement.
Secluded Courtyard:
A beautifully landscaped courtyard serves as a secluded gathering space.
Outdoor seating areas and space for events promote fellowship and community building.
Aesthetic Design:
The design concept enhances the spiritual atmosphere of the church while incorporating modern elements.
